Official Tourism Website of Port Elgin, Ontario
A public beach that has been popular since the early 1900's with cottagers and visitors alike. This quiet beach offers those that like sand, sun and waves, a perfect destination. This beach is located South of Port Elgin perfect for those seeking more peace and quiet and less activity.
Miles of sandy beach stretch out along Eidt's Grove with not a fast food restaurant in sight. Shallow water makes this a relaxing beach for both adults, teens and children. No beach shelters on this part of the shore...make sunscreen, hats and a beach umbrella an essential part of your beach gear.
This route takes a bit longer than travelling the highway, but it's a much more scenic route. Less traffic, too! Park free of charge along the side of the road or in any of the marked beach access points. Eidt's Grove: sandy and shallow. Parking: free, at this beach.
No public washrooms.
