FireFit Regional Championships

Saturday July 13th to Sunday July 14th. 11am-4pm both days. Firefit Regional Championship. The Scott FireFit Championships is a competition based on fire fighting tasks commonly performed in emergency situations. There are many different levels of Competitors, from the seasoned 10-year veteran to the first time rookies. The FireFit Event is very demanding, which is why it has been described as “the toughest two minutes in sports.” Competitors race up a five-storey tower, hoist a 45 pound weight, run back down the stairs to breach entry with a sledgehammer, shuttle run, drag a fire hose to hit a target and then rescue a 175 pound dummy to complete the course. This event showcases municipal firefighters from across the province and possibly the country go head-to-head in individual and team competitions. Free event for all!
