Explore the world of nulcear energy

Every year thousands of visitors arrive at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre to learn more about nuclear energy and electricity generation.

The Bruce Power Vistors’ Centre invites guests to learn about power generation in Ontario and discover interesting facts about Bruce Power – the world's largest operating nuclear facility.

The Visitors’ Centre is located north of Tiverton on Bruce County Rd. 20, adjacent to Ontario’s first commercial wind farm, Huron Wind

The Exhibit Hall

The Exhibit Hall features a variety of interactive exhibits and displays. Visitors can take a simulated tour inside a reactor or try their skills as a nuclear operator on replica control room panels. Another exhibit lets guests take control of a console to select different generation sources – wind, solar, biomass, coal, natural gas, and nuclear – to power an imaginary city.

Bus Tours

In 2019, Bruce Power is proud to offer weekday tours for the month of June, in addition to our usual tour offerings in July and August.

A narrated bus tour will be offered daily, Monday to Friday, at 1 p.m. during June, to guests who pre-register using our third-party booking site.

The tour begins at the Bruce Power Visitors’ Centre with a short film in our 100-seat, air-conditioned theatre. After a security check of your government-issued photo ID, you will get on a bus and take a tour of our 2,300 acre site.

In July and August we move to three tours a day (11 a.m., and 1 and 2 p.m.), seven days a week (except statutory holidays on July 1 and Aug. 5). We also recommend pre-registering.

Please note that government-issued identification will be required for all participants. For youth under 18, a parent or guardian must be present to vouch for their identity.
